Life on blue water

The architects Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot Prevost gave the Lagoon 500 2 qualities that show right away when sailing: her speed and seaworthiness are outstanding.

The deck
Maximum comfort has been designed into this boat that features a forward cockpit with face-to-face seating, numerous lockers and an excellent visibility forward. Facilitating the passage towards the transoms and the foredeck, the aft passerelle is totally independent from the cockpit, the helm station is on the flybridge and the main saloon entrance from the cockpit are on the same level. The cockpit table can be stowed in the bimini top. The Lagoon 500’s helm station is a superb living space with access from each side, lockers and a long six-seat bench.

Accommodation
The woodwork finish choices (standard Alpi™ clear oak or optional Alpi™ blond teak) give the boat a smart and relaxing feel.

Three different layouts are available:

- Owners’ 3 cabin version: a vast owner’s cabin with a small saloon, a desk, a dressing-room, abundant storage space and a fully equipped bathroom with a shower compartment and a separate head. At the head of the bed on the aft starboard side, there is an opening hatch that provides an excellent view, light and ventilation.

- Owners’ 4 cabin version: this version includes three VIP cabins and a slightly shortened owner’s suite.

- Charter 5 cabin version: identical layout to the owners’ version 4 cabins, but the forward companionway on starboard opens up on another cabin, with bunk beds and a washroom.

Seeing bigger

To replace a reference in the market never is an easy task.

The VPLP architects, together with Lagoon and the world renown Nauta Yachts design office succeeded beautifully however with the development of the new Lagoon 450.

Of course, the irreplaceable qualities of the Lagoon 440 have been retained as a starting point : a steering station on the fly bridge accessible from both sides of the cockpit, a forward cockpit, performance under sail…and an incomparable comfort in the saloon and the cabins.

Larger and with a bigger sail area, the Lagoon 450 also benefits from important improvements
In terms of safety, performance and cruising comfort: the aft transoms are better protected for easy boarding from a tender, the cockpit is larger and the access to the steering station has also been made easier…and the sunbathing area on the fly bridge is something unseen on a catamaran this size yet.

Inside the boat, the Nauta Yachts design team has brilliantly associated a perfect use of space with an outstanding elegance throughout, with an optional choice of a blond teak finish now available.
